It’s so sunny today! I walked into my spare room today to see it flooded with sunlight and so I had to share it as it looked so beautiful to me!
Last July we got married and spent our honeymoon in Florida – it was the most blissful two weeks ever. We spent part of our time at Orlando, checking out the theme parks, and the last part in St Pete’s Beach which is what inspired us to create our own honeymoon suite at home. Not long after we got home, I started shopping and collecting things for it and it is finally complete! Let me give you a little tour…
The first thing I found was this beautiful Palm tree wall paper from B&M’s which just happened to be on clearance at £3 a roll. I don’t usually do such bold designs but I couldn’t resist them! From that I settled on grey and white, with hints of turquoise shades taken from the photographs I picked for artwork. The photos are a few shots I snapped on Clearwater Beach, Florida. The frames were from Dunelm and I think they look great grouped together.
The chest of drawers are one of my favourite pieces in the room, with their mirrored fronts and worn wooden look, they felt perfect for the room. These were a steal from T K Maxx and I’m completely in love with them. The wood photo frame is from Next and the stone lamp is a B&Q bargain from a few years ago. The cushions on the bed are from Primark and the ones at the bottom of the bed were amazing wedding gifts.
After a lot of deliberation, I finally settled on these cute bedside tables, made of glass and bamboo from Ikea which my parents bought me. The hashtag light is from George at Asda and the plant and basket are both from Home Sense. My curtains are also from George and were hiding in the clearance section.
These sweet beach hut fairy lights were a few pounds in B&M’s and have a soft warm glow in the evening.
So that’s my Florida inspired room! The whole room feels so tranquil and relaxing with the cool, clean colours, like were back on holiday. The only part that isn’t complete is the wardrobes and dressing table as I’m constantly changing this every time I use it to get ready!
I hope you liked my room tour and if you have any comments, questions or feedback, please let me know in the comments below, or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Thank you and have a great week!
