Photo Diary | A Chilly Walk and Dinner at The Pheasant Inn

Today was Kieran’s only day off over the Easter period, so we decided to make the most of it by wrapping up and heading out in the car with his brother and Woopy. We set ourselves up in the morning with beautiful boiled eggs, toast and lattes, threw on our boots and wellies, and drove out towards Burwardsley to walk along part of the Sandstone Trail.

It was cloudy and cold but, wrapped up in coats, we made it to the top of the hill for an incredible view of Cheshire. Looking across the green and yellow fields, I felt very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. On the way to the top, we saw some incredibly beautiful homes built from Sandstone, but one in particular stood out for me. If I could sum up what my dream home would look like, it would be this house!

Of course with all that walking, everyone worked up an appetite! We headed back down the hill to a lovely little pub called The Pheasant Inn to bunch up by the fire and wet our whistles. With pints of lemonade and a bowl of water for Woopy, we decided to order a board to share and some chips on the side. Highly recommended! The staff were so friendly to us and Woopy, and the food was incredible! It included carved ham and beef, patè and chutney, hot scotch eggs, chipolata sausages and homemade bread! It’s safe to say we more than enjoyed it, with Woopy falling asleep on the way home!

Here’s some pictures from our day!

It was such a lovely afternoon and Woopy was so excited as it was somewhere new to go. Click the links below if you would like more information on the places featured in today’s blog!

Thank you!
