Homemade In Cheshire is official one today!
A little over a year ago, I broke my arm. It was so painful I can’t explain; I’d rebroken it in the same place around 10 years ago, only this time there were multiple breaks. I was going on holiday with my family to the Peak District to a secluded little cottage for a winter break. It was here I finally decided to go ahead and start blogging for real.
I’d toyed with the idea of blogging for a little while after being inspired by reading a few other blogs. I wrote, but I never shared, until my husband started reading, who in turn told my parents to read it. I plucked up the courage knowing I wasn’t going to be facing anyone while signed off work with my broken arm.
And I absolutely loved doing it! It didn’t bother me not many people saw my posts, it was just nice to be able to confidently share what I enjoyed.
A year later and I’m still here, pushing along. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine and I enjoy writing. Plus I like having posts to look back on and go, “Oh yeah, I remember doing…”
One thing I have learnt during my time blogging; if it’s no longer fun, don’t do it! I stopped blogging for a little while because I literally didn’t have the time to do it and felt almost a sense of pressure from myself to churn something out. I suppose this is true for a few things in life. You have to love doing it, else why are you bothering?
So with that I am back into blogging officially! I am loving doing it again and I have lots of things planned to share with you! I hope you’ll stick with me!
What got you into blogging?
