Beauty | Spring Pink Makeup Look

It’s getting brighter! The evenings are so much lighter, the sun is shining and I feel like Spring! Until I get outside and realise it’s still about 2°C! Still, you can hope! It’s due to get really chilly here soon (-10°C, brrr) but I still want to feel bright and like spring is on the way!

So, to get me more in the mood, I decided to do a fresh faced makeup look with subtle pink shades.

I’m not normally one for using pinks, but these soft blush shades tempted me and next time I may go brighter!

First, I applied No7 Airbrush Away primer all over my skin after I let my moisturiser soak in. I then applied my No7 Beautifully Matte foundation using a Real Techniques Expert face brush, followed by concealer on my under eye area and a little on my chin, which I blended using a beauty blender. I love this foundation as it gives a full coverage without feeling heavy or cakey, and it means I don’t need too much concealer either!

I then started on my eye shadow, applying a pale shade first, similar to my skin colour as a base. I then built up various light pink shades on the whole lid, before working my darkest colour into the crease. The eyeshadow I used was W7 Mighty Mattes Palette in Winter, Wanderer and Jupiter, and the pink and dark shade from No7 Stay Perfect Trio Eyeshadow Palette Rose Golds. The W7 palette gave a good base of colour which I built on with the more shimmery shades in the No7 palette.

I then applied plenty of mascara to lift my lashes. The mascara I used here is my favourite (No7 Dramatic Lift Mascara) as it always gives them lots of length and volume! After applying to both sets of lashes, I quickly go back over them again to make sure I’ve caught them all.

I set my foundation with translucent powder, added a little Benefit Hula bronzer below my cheek bones to define them slightly, and some peachy pink blush to my cheeks for a fresh finish.

I always fill my brows in a little just to make them a bit darker and I use a powder brow kit for this from W7. Finally I slicked on some matte pink lipstick to complete the look; this shade is Mac Mehr.

The products I used are my favourites and my go to’s! Here’s a complete list of the ones I used:

  • No7 Airbrush Away Primer
  • No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
  • No7 Airbrush Away Pressed Powder
  • Benefit Hula Bronzer
  • No7 Powder Blusher in Apricot Blossom
  • W7 Brow Bar
  • Mac Lipstick – Matte Mehr 70
  • W7 Mighty Mattes Palette – Winter, Wanderer, Jupiter
  • No7 Stay Perfect Trio Eyeshadow Palette – Rose Golds
  • No7 Dramatic Lift Mascara in Black

This has definitely become a go-to look at the moment, especially if I’m a bit tired and I feel I need brightening up!

What’s making you feel Spring?

  1. Ohhh I love this look on you, its so pretty. That No & palette looks amazing, exactly the sort of colours that appeal to me. Im experimenting with champagne and oyster type colours at the moment, quite a natural look with a bit of eyeliner. Im liking the lighter make up. x
