Lifestyle | Weekend Getaway To Liverpool

This weekend, we stayed in Liverpool for the Friday evening, to celebrate my youngest brother-in-laws 18th birthday.

We started off the day in Chester, having a few cocktails with my friend to give her her birthday presents. I had a prosecco based cocktail (obviously, I’m a prosecco addict 😂) with peach and elderflower in; it was so refreshing to sip whilst sitting in the suntrap garden of Oddfellows.

We caught the train at three to Liverpool and checked into our room. We were surprised that from the room we had a view of the famous Albert Docks and wheel. It’s such a great location to access all of these things, as well as everything else Liverpool offers.

Here’s what our hotel was like…

Gorgeous!

We checked in and got ready to head out, first off stopping at a secret bar, which to get into you need a password, for some amazing cocktails. I had A Little Fluffy Cloud; a creamy, strawberry based cocktail, served with a giant cloud of candy floss on top.

After visiting lots more places for drinks and leaving the eighteen year olds to it, we rounded off the night with a curry and snuggled in our pjs, flat out.

Saturday morning greeted us with her another glorious bright day so after breakfast and checkout, we went for a walk around the dock area before visiting the Tate Modern and the Museum of Liverpool to see Lichtenstein, Warhol and some more abstract art.

We caught the train home afterwards and were back in Chester for the afternoon to make the most of the hot weather in our garden! The best part about knowing how busy we’ve been and how much we’ve fitted in, is knowing we still have Sunday!

What did you get up to this weekend?
