Hello! Today I’m bringing you a beauty post.
I recently went on a bit of a spree for my garden in B&M’s (can’t wait to share that!) and whilst there, I spotted something new in their W7 section.
I actually really enjoy using W7 products. If you haven’t heard anything about them before, they’re a budget friendly and animal friendly UK brand, known for duping other brands! My favourite product previously has been their eyeshadow palettes which are similar to the NAKED range from Urban Decay. You can read my review on some of their other products here.
Seeing this gem, I had to pick up this little palette for £3.99 to try. I’ve been looking for a decent powder highlighter for a while and didn’t want to spend a fortune but others I have tried just didn’t really have a glow. It’s been disappointing 😂.
Then I tried this W7 Strobe Time Its Glow Time Palette! The palette comes in two different shade combinations; pink tones or bronze tones (I got the pink) and contains 4 shades to use; a blusher, bronzer, champagne shade and nude shade.
About The Palette (W7 description)It’s time to get strobing!A palette of four highly pigmented shades to help you achieve a subtle yet striking highlight. The perfect addition for your makeup bag! It’s Glow Time! contains champagne shades for that popping highlight and pinky nudes for a more natural glow. The lightest shade is perfect to blend into your cheekbones for that extra pop.
The palette itself is kind of similar to Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit palette, and I would say it is worth saving the money on too! I can’t compare the two as I don’t have the Glow Kit, however I would definitely recommend trying this one! I’ve used all the shades on my face and found it works really well! It gives off plenty of glow, without being too extreme, as well as being really pigmented rather than just shine. I’m completely obsessed with the blusher tone!
Let’s get into the colours a bit more…
Blusher – Whilst looking very subtle in the palette, the blusher packs a lot more punch than you would give it credit for! A lovely pink shimmering shade, it looks nice applied lightly on top of your usual blusher, or on its own for a light pink glow.
Bronzer – I love the golden bronzer, It’s just the right shade for my fair skin, however I think the gold tones would look great on darker skin to highlight.
Highlight & Strobe – The two lighter shades are great for highlighting; one carries a peachier tone, the other a more neutral, almost pink shade. Both work well as highlighter but I think the peach tone goes best with my other cosmetics.
Overall, I’m really satisfied with this palette; the powders carry a lovely soft texture and aren’t cakey or chalky which is fab from such a well priced product. I think this will be staying in my makeup bag!
